I'm so tired of the winter!

After a short while without snow in the week before last, the white cover returned and now is still outside. We are in the fingers of another cold spell, and I'm becoming so, so tired of all the snow and the winteryness. Yes, it is sunny outside, but I want to see green! Flowers growing! Spring blossoms! I want to be able to sit outside and breathe in spring air - it is March, after all...

Sigh. Well, nothing we can do except wait and hope for proper spring weather soon.

lol--You wait for spring, I dread each day that it might be getting warmer and that summer might come back. Last July and August in Milan were so hot I am somewhat frightened by the thought of spring as it would mean that summer can't be far behind.

I sympathize. We had three major snowstorms in February--over a meter of snow was on the ground at one point! But now the daytime temperatures are well above freezing and the snow is almost all gone. (Unfortunately, we have no green yet--most of the vegetation looks brown, but it's an improvement over the snow!)

Hang in there and I'm sure you'll have spring soon.

I can understand dreading hot summer, but spring in Milan should be a totally wonderful thing, no? Gentle, warm breezes, the first coffee sitting outside, mild evenings for a stroll in the dusk...
And I think that I wouldn't feel the prolonged winter so keenly if we hadn't had that warm spot inbetween here. The first crocuses and snowbells were out already, and now it's all white again!
